Hart
Velma Hart, an ASAE Fellow and former ASAE chair, will join the Construction Specifications Institute as COO in May. She will also be COO of the CSI Foundation. Hart is currently chief financial officer of the Marine Sanctuary Foundation.
Dennis Rizzo has been named chief financial officer at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Walter Boza is the new chief marketing officer at the Residential Real Estate Council.
The Gemological Institute of America appointed Shahdeh Ammadi to the newly created position of director of institute relations, overseeing the alumni and GemKids programs.
Former federal prosecutor Andrew Kline is taking on the newly created position of director of public policy at the National Cannabis Industry Association. He was most recently president of the National Association of Cannabis Businesses, a self-regulatory organization which launched in 2017 as a division of First American Holdings, a technology and business services company.
Laura Thompson has been promoted to VP, trade shows at PMMI.

The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges turned to another board-related group for its next CEO. Henry Stoever, chief marketing officer at the National Association of Corporate Directors, joins AGB July 1.
The Association of Writers and Writing Programs decided to stick with Chloe Schwenke as executive director. She had been the organization's interim leader for a year.
The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer has promoted COO Anne Minton to CEO, effective May 1.
